About the School
Fifty years ago, there were only about 100 computers in the entire world; today, it is hard to imagine life without them. Hundreds of millions of computers are involved in every field of knowledge and every area of daily life, from medical diagnosis to electronic banking, from genetic research to online entertainment. The future promises even greater changes, as computers continue to transform our lives in fundamental ways.
Israel has been at the forefront of the worldwide computer revolution, in which the Tel Aviv University School of Computer Science plays an ever-expanding role. In the dynamic universe of computer science, the School maintains a leading edge in both teaching and research. Graduate and undergraduate programs are updated continually, integrating new areas of research as they develop.
Extensive international collaboration between faculty members and colleagues abroad, and cooperation with Israel’s high-tech sector, advance and enrich the School’s wide-ranging research program. Graduates go on to fill leading positions in high-tech companies, Israel’s defense establishment and defense industries, and academic institutions worldwide.
