BLAST Output

Figure 5.6: The BLAST Output: Each line is made of 4 columns: 1-2 details the name and the annotation of the hit, 3 is the bit score and 4 is the E-value of the hit.

This output is very similar to the FastA output: Each Line describes one database sequence matching the query. The local alignments themself are detailed further along the output (not shown in the above figure).
