An additional refinement involves merging clusters that are similar enough
into a single cluster. The rationale is that the algorithm tends to be too
severe in its criteria for determining a cluster, and may split ``true''
clusters. Figure 11.9 shows the results of running
the HCS algorithm with all the mentioned heuristics.
